To tow a Nissan Frontier equipped with an automatic transmission, an appropriate vehicle dolly MUST be placed under the drive wheels of the towed vehicle. Always follow the dolly manufacturer’s instructions, load limits, and safety recommendations when using this equipment.
Automatic Transmission
To tow a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission, a suitable vehicle dolly MUST be positioned under the drive wheels of the Nissan Frontier being towed. Always use the dolly exactly as recommended by the dolly manufacturer to prevent drivetrain or transmission damage.
NOTE:
If the battery is completely discharged, the transmission may not be shifted manually into other positions. Make sure the battery condition is checked before any towing preparation is attempted.
