Nissan Frontier: Instruments and Controls - Heated Seat Switches

The Nissan Frontier front seats may be equipped with integrated heating elements designed to improve comfort during cold-weather driving.

The built-in heaters warm the seat cushion and seatback, helping occupants remain comfortable during winter conditions.

To operate the heated seats:

1. Place the Nissan Frontier ignition switch in the ON position.

2. Press either the LO or HI position of the heated-seat switch according to the desired heat level.

The indicator light built into the switch illuminates when the system is activated.

The Nissan Frontier seat heater system uses an automatic thermostat to regulate temperature. The thermostat cycles the heating elements on and off as needed while the indicator light remains illuminated.

3. Once the seat reaches a comfortable temperature, or before leaving the vehicle, switch the heated seat system off.

WARNING

Do not use the Nissan Frontier heated seat system if you or any occupant cannot adequately sense temperature changes or pain in areas of the body that contact the seat. Individuals with reduced sensitivity to heat may suffer burns or serious injuries without realizing it.

CAUTION

• Do not operate the Nissan Frontier heated seats for extended periods when the seats are unoccupied.
• Do not place blankets, cushions, seat covers, or other insulating materials on the heated seats, as excessive heat buildup may occur.
• Do not place heavy objects on the seats or puncture them with pins, tools, or sharp objects, as damage to the heating elements may result.
• If liquids are spilled onto a heated seat, immediately absorb the moisture using a clean, dry cloth.
• When cleaning Nissan Frontier heated seats, never use gasoline, benzine, paint thinner, or similar harsh chemicals.
• If the heated seat system malfunctions or fails to operate properly, switch it off and have the Nissan Frontier inspected. It is recommended that you visit an authorized NISSAN dealer for service.
• Operating the heated seats while the engine is not running may discharge the vehicle battery.

The Nissan Frontier heated seat system provides additional comfort and convenience during cold-weather operation while maintaining safe and efficient temperature control for front-seat occupants.
