Nissan Frontier 2022-2026 Owner's Manual / Monitor, climate, audio, phone and voice recognition systems / Safety Note

WARNING

  • Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or alter any component of the Nissan Frontier multimedia or NissanConnect system. Unauthorized modifications may result in system failure, electrical hazards, fire, or vehicle-related accidents.
  • Do not continue operating the system if abnormal behavior is observed, including a frozen display, missing audio output, unexpected system resets, or other malfunctions. Continued operation under these conditions could lead to fire, electrical shock, or unsafe driving situations.
  • If foreign objects enter the system, liquids are spilled onto system components, or smoke, unusual odors, or signs of overheating are noticed, immediately discontinue use of the Nissan Frontier system.

It is recommended that the vehicle be inspected by an authorized NISSAN dealer. Ignoring these warning signs could result in electrical damage, fire, or personal injury.

  • Always park the Nissan Frontier in a safe location and apply the parking brake before viewing images, adjusting settings, or interacting with the touch-screen display.

Do not operate the Nissan Frontier multimedia system in extreme temperature conditions below −4°F (−20°C) or above 158°F (70°C). Operating the system outside these limits may cause reduced performance, display irregularities, or permanent system damage.

Safety Information

WARNING

  • Before operating the NissanConnect system, stop the vehicle in a safe location and fully engage the parking brake. Attempting to interact with menus, settings, or applications while driving may distract the driver and increase the risk of a serious accident.
  • Always maintain full attention on driving. If the Nissan Frontier system responds slowly or requires additional time to process commands, remain patient and keep your focus on the road ahead. Distracted driving can result in severe injury, property damage, or death.
  • Some regions and jurisdictions may restrict the use of features such as Text-to-Speech, texting functions, social-networking applications, and certain connected services. Always verify local regulations before using these features in your Nissan Frontier.
  • To reduce the risk of serious injury or death when the Nissan Frontier is parked with the engine running, always keep the vehicle in a well-ventilated area and avoid exposure to exhaust gases.

Vehicle exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a colorless and odorless gas that can cause unconsciousness, serious injury, or death.

    • Always apply the parking brake.
    • Do not leave children, pets, or individuals requiring assistance unattended inside the Nissan Frontier.
    • Do not leave the vehicle unattended while the engine is running to help prevent unauthorized vehicle operation.
