Replacing spark plugs

Iridium-tipped spark plugs

The Nissan Frontier uses iridium-tipped spark plugs A, which are designed to last much longer than conventional spark plugs. They do not require replacement as frequently as standard plugs. Follow the maintenance log shown in the "Maintenance and schedules" section of this manual for the correct service interval. Do not clean or regap iridium-tipped spark plugs.

• Always replace spark plugs with recommended or equivalent spark plugs designed for the Nissan Frontier engine.

If spark plug replacement is required, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service to ensure correct parts, torque, and installation procedure.
