To ensure proper operation of the driver's and/or front passenger's NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System, please observe the following precautions:

  • Do not allow rear-seat passengers to pull on, push against, or place excessive pressure on the seatback pocket or head restraint/headrest.

WARNING

  • Always secure cargo properly using ropes, straps, or other appropriate restraints to help prevent items from shifting during vehicle operation. Unsecured cargo may cause injury during sudden braking or a collision.
  • The weight of items stored in the under-seat storage bins must not exceed the specified limits. Exceeding these limits may prevent the bins from remaining securely fastened and could increase the risk of injury during an accident.

    Driver's side: 16 lbs. (7.25 kg)

  • Do not allow the carrier or loaded cargo to obstruct exterior lighting, reflectors, license plates, or the Back-up Camera system.
  • Verify that the cargo carrier is securely attached to the Nissan Frontier before driving.
  • Distribute cargo evenly to help maintain a low center of gravity and predictable vehicle handling.
  • Never transport loose cargo. Secure all items properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, or cargo restraints.
  • Do not carry loads that extend beyond the height, width, or depth of the cargo carrier.
  • Never exceed the maximum rated load capacity of 150 lbs. (68 kg).
  • Always comply with local and state regulations regarding license plate visibility and cargo transportation requirements.
  • Do not drive the Nissan Frontier with the cargo carrier in the vertical or stowed position. This position is intended only for parking and storage.
  • Reduce speed and exercise caution when driving over speed bumps, uneven terrain, gravel roads, or rough surfaces.
