Cleaning
If the Nissan Frontier windshield does not clear properly after using the windshield washer, or if a wiper blade chatters, skips, or leaves streaks while operating, wax, road film, dirt, or another contaminant may be present on the glass or on the blade edge.
Clean the outside surface of the windshield using washer solution or a mild detergent. The windshield is considered clean when water no longer forms beads during rinsing with clear water.
Clean each wiper blade by wiping the rubber edge with a soft cloth soaked in washer solution or a mild detergent.
After cleaning, rinse the blades thoroughly with clean water. If the Nissan Frontier windshield still does not clear properly after cleaning the blades and using the wipers, replace the wiper blades.
CAUTION
Worn windshield wiper blades can scratch or damage the windshield and reduce driver visibility, especially during rain, snow, or road spray.
Replacing
Replace the wiper blades whenever they are worn, cracked, hardened, noisy, or unable to clean the windshield effectively.
1. Lift the wiper arm carefully away from the windshield.
2. Press and hold the release tab A, then move the wiper blade down B along the wiper arm to release it.
3. Remove the old wiper blade from the arm.
4. Insert the new wiper blade onto the wiper arm until it clicks securely into place.
CAUTION
Be careful not to allow dirt, wax, debris, or foreign material to enter the washer nozzle D. A blocked nozzle may reduce washer performance or prevent the windshield washer from spraying correctly.
If something becomes lodged in the nozzle, carefully remove it using a needle or small pin C.
Keeping the windshield glass, washer nozzles, and wiper blades clean helps maintain clear visibility and safe Nissan Frontier driving in poor weather.
