Removal and Installation

Remove the gearshift lever knob.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to Section 501-02.

Remove the shift cable ends from the gearshift levers in the following sequence.
1. Carefully pry the gearshift cables from the shift levers.
1. Pull back on abutment sleeve and lift cable out of shifter.

Remove the 4 gearshift lever bolts and the gearshift lever.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Adjust the gearshift cables. For additional information, refer to Section 308-00.
