The auto-dimming mirror will adjust automatically when hit by glaring light from behind. It will not work when you have selected reverse gear.

Remove the 2 screws from rear of the air deflector.
Remove the 6 screws and 3 pin-type retainers from the bottom of the air
deflector.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
