1. Remove the battery. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01.

1. Release the 2 wiring harness pushpins, then remove the 3 battery tray nuts and the battery tray.

1. Remove the intake air hose.
   1. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose.
   1. Disconnect the booster bleed hose.
   1. Loosen the clamps and remove the intake air hose.

1. Remove the 2 resonator bolts and the resonator.
   • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

1. Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.

1. Remove the PCM bolt and nut and the PCM.

1. Remove the 3 PCM/battery support bracket bolts.

1. Install the Engine Support Bar and Adapters.

1. Remove the 5 LH transaxle support insulator nuts and the LH transaxle support insulator with the PCM/battery support bracket.
   • To install, tighten the center nut to 150 Nm (111 lb-ft).
   • Tighten the outer nuts to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

1. Remove the 3 LH transaxle support insulator bolts and the LH transaxle support insulator bracket.
   • To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).

1. Disconnect the reverse lamp switch electrical connector.

1. Pressing the release botton, disconnect the gearshift cables from the transaxle.
   1. Disconnect the shift cable from the shift mass.
   1. Disconnect the selector cable from the selector lever.

1. NOTE:

   Make sure the transaxle is in the NEUTRAL position.

   Position the transaxle in the NEUTRAL position. Remove the 6 selector mechanism bolts and the selector mechanism.

   • To install, tighten the bolts in a star pattern to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   • Apply a bead of gasket maker to the seating surface.
   • Adjust the gearshift cables. For additional information, refer to Section  308-00.
