Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02.
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and accessory drive belt splash shield.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  1. Using the hex feature, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the tensioner.

  1. NOTE:

    The accessory drive belt tensioner must be replaced as a complete unit.

    Remove the 2 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.

    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
